Our History
SubseaCo was established as Link Agencies in the UK in 1990.
It was formed as a beachhead for Australian Companies looking to expand into the UK. It gained several UK clients and expanded into the oil and gas sector. Clients included:
- JD Kingsfield Limited
- The Kitson’s Group Limited
- Cameron Offshore Engineering Limited
- Cooper Industries Inc
- Aker Cooper Joint Venture
The company became integrated into and led project teams working in the UK and Norway on subsea and offshore projects. SubseaCo was at the forefront of initiatives and projects related to the design, manufacture, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning of seabed equipment for oil and gas fields. In addition the company project managed some very innovative R&D initiatives developing new styles of subsea xmas trees, manifolds and electro hydraulic multiplex control systems. On behalf of its clients SubseaCo pioneered the use of multi media and the internet in selling and bidding various equipment offerings to major oil companies.
Later SubseaCo relocated to Australia and operated in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region. SubseaCo personnel set up joint ventures, project teams and business streams for its clients. SubseaCo personnel bid for and later ran the Cameron subsea equipment and FEED scope for Shell's Malampaya Project in the Philippines. Since then SubseaCo has taken front control of several projects in Australia and New Zealand covering subsea systems, umbilicals, flowlines and risers and topsides conversions on FPSOs.
